Our Residencies

Performance AIRspace Residency

Abrons Arts Center’s Performance AIRspace Residency supports a cohort of 2 early career performing artists for a project development residency over the course of 12 months, and production period the following year.

Visual Art AIRspace Residency

New York Community Trust Van Lier Fellowship for Visual Artists supports a cohort of 3 visual artists between the ages of 18 and 30 years old for a residency at Abrons Arts Center over the course of 21 months.

Curatorial AIRspace Residency

Abrons Arts Center’s Curatorial AIRspace Residency annually supports one New York City-based curator.

La Residencia with
 Pública Espacio Cultural

La Residencia is a collaboration between Abrons Arts Center and Pública Espacio Cultural that supports artists of the Puerto Rican diaspora.

Abrons Arts Center’s Visual Artist AIRspace residencies are made possible through the generosity of The Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation, the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Foundation, and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. This program is also supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and support from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
