Jess Barbagallo
Weekend at Barry’s/Lesbian Lighthouse

June 10–26, 2022

Barry is a 40-something cultural worker whose career-averse lifestyle has led him to a personal and professional dead end. Supported only by his cheap apartment and team of misfit friends, Barry is perpetually between questionable jobs and even more questionable lovers. When Helen Hufflekugel, a seductively “contemporary” arts curator, offers him a gig mentoring a couple of wide-eyed queer youths in exchange for a slot in her next season, Barry reluctantly agrees. Little does he know that this last-ditch attempt to manifest old dreams will open a portal to another life he didn’t know he was already living elsewhere.
