Orbit is a live performance showcase presented by In Motion (ITP, Tisch) and supported by Underground Art and Design (UAAD). Through an open call, the program features works at the intersection of movement and emerging technologies, bringing together artists, designers, engineers, and technologists from across NYU and beyond. Inspired by the idea of relational motion, Orbit explores how bodies, systems, and tools influence one another — treating connection as both a performance theme and a community practice.

In Motion is a hub for those interested in the intersection of emerging technology and dance & movement. By offering resources, events, and workshops for movement-based work/interactive mediums, we aim to foster community, collaboration, and interdisciplinary creative exploration.

Underground Art and Design (UAAD) is a curatorial platform and a creative studio based in New York. UAAD supports experimental artists and creatives who move between disciplines and beyond fixed definitions. Through exhibitions, publications, public programs and partnerships, UAAD aims to build cultural infrastructure where collaborative practices activates agency, community, and shared growth led and shaped by the artists.
