Living Studio Opening Celebration
We are having the Living Studio Opening Celebration in the garden on July 20th from 2-7 PM Tamal Workshop, Potluck, and Activities followed by a ceremonial fire in our Amphitheater led by Emily Johnson/Catalyst from 7-9 PM.
Please bring your friends and family and food to share! This event is free and open to the public, there will be workshops, activities, free food, and live cooking!
The Garden Steward Team at Abrons is revitalizing the garden at Abrons, now known as the Living Studio, in the form of a series of community work days throughout the Summer & Fall of 2019. The team have been remediating the garden by adding new soil, planting perennial, medicinal, pollinating, and native plants, establishing a small bokashi compost setup, and will be installing a geodesic dome greenhouse in the garden this August.
The Garden Steward Team will have ongoing drop-in days between July 1–November 10 on weekdays from 11am-7pm and some weekend days from 11am-5pm. We ask for volunteers to let us know before they plan on coming in so we can make sure one of our staff is here to facilitate the ongoing garden tasks we have happening. Please fill out this google form or reach out via phone @ 212-598-0400 (extension 1426) if you would like to volunteer your green thumb or learn about gardening!
