In Salsa 2, learners will be learning beginning techniques and basic terminology. They will be able to add their creative expression to this cultural Latin dance. The students will learn salsa on 2 as a social dancing by concentrating on learning steps with musicality. After they have a complete understanding of the basic foundation, they will be able to continue to expand their salsa vocabulary. Salsa 2 participants should have taken at least one year of salsa prior to enrolling.
About Briana Conors
Briana Connors is a choreographer, creative director, and salsera based in New York. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Connors has used her Dominican heritage and immense cultural studies to guide her dance journey over the past 8 years. As the former Creative Director and President of USC’s Premier Latin Dance team, Connors has explicitly specialized in salsa, bachata, and merengue for the past 4 years of her career. She uses her platform to encourage dancers to express their individuality and learn to see the studio as a safe space for creative freedom.
