Salsa 2 builds off of the skills developed in Salsa para Gozar. In this intergenerational dance class, learners will build upon “salsa on 2” technique and terminology while exploring their individuality. Salsa 2 learners should have taken at least one year of salsa or Salsa para Gozar prior to enrolling in Salsa 2. At the end of the semester, learners will present a performance at Abrons’ annual dance and theater showcase.
About Briana Conors
Briana Connors is a choreographer, creative director, and salsera based in New York. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Connors has used her Dominican heritage and immense cultural studies to guide her dance journey over the past 8 years. As the former Creative Director and President of USC’s Premier Latin Dance team, Connors has explicitly specialized in salsa, bachata, and merengue for the past 4 years of her career. She uses her platform to encourage dancers to express their individuality and learn to see the studio as a safe space for creative freedom.
