Spend a week during spring break expressing yourself through dance. Dancing to Connect, a youth empowerment program from Battery Dance and Queensborough Community College, will offer FREE creative dance classes to High School students. Selected students will collaborate with each other under the guidance of dance teaching artists to create their own choreography which they will perform. The Dancing to Connect approach has been shared in over 54 countries worldwide and is now available free of charge to select NYC High School students, including those with and without previous dance experience. Participants will be selected based on the short application.

Students will have the opportunity to perform their choreography at University Neighborhood High School's spring dance concert at Abrons Arts Center in mid May and at the Battery Dance Festival in Lower Manhattan in early August.

Lunch will be provided. Applications due by March 11th.
