This course introduces the basics of astrology: planets, signs, houses, and aspects. Learners will connect with each other through their astrological charts and the charts of our favorite artists, with an emphasis on the history of astrology and astrology as the study of light (jyotish). The course will conclude with learners writing horoscopes and creating a shared mixtape-style zine.

About Jaime Wright

I am a writer and professional astrologer from New York. Since 2016, I have been engaged in a rich astrological practice giving hundreds of consultations, writing thousands of horoscopes, leading workshops on planetary cycles, and divining for querents at all kinds of events. I am the author of the cult favorite astrology newsletter, moon missives, and write weekly and monthly horoscope columns for an online magazine. In 2023 and 2024, I was the host of the weekly forecast podcast, good fortune. In a past life (my 20's), I was a performance artist and co-created shows as the performance group Carroll Simmons with my friend, David Bernstein. Astrology is a language and art form. Astrology is a vessel that a diviner brings to life like a performer takes on a role, or a painter works with oils, or a ‘cellist plays the strings.
