Spots for the Zoom conversation have SOLD OUT, but don’t worry! This conversation will be simulcasted on Abrons’ Facebook Live as well as HowlRound TV (https://livestream.com/howlround/realtalk) starting at 6 PM EDT on Thursday.
A guided response to Creating New Futures: Working Guidelines for Ethics & Equity in Presenting Dance & Performance, a tentatively-titled, living document-in-progress collectively authored and compiled by a peer-led working group of arts professionals.
The document is intended to frame principles and guidelines for conversations within the dance & performance field to shape our futures in light of the extraordinary chaos and disruption caused by COVID-19. The document contains testimonials from different arts workers within the field and starts the process of forming principles and guidelines for the future we can build together, including alternatives to cancellation and language on force majeure. This document is just a start, and the group is sharing it to ensure that the document is being created in response to and in solidarity with the field.
The first draft of the document can be found here. Please dive in before attending the meeting.
