A son confronts his father with the terrifying reality that he is a clone: one of a number of genetically identical copies made somewhere, by someone, for reasons he does not know. As he desperately searches for an answer, the truth of the past will be exposed and a family will grapple with a future that can't be anticipated.
Producer Ian Stearns of A Production Company is thrilled to share director Craig De Lorenzo’s fresh new vision for Caryl Churchill’s A Number. This exciting two-hander, starring Stephen D’Ambrose and Brendan Walsh, is a meditation from one of the world’s most renowned feminist playwrights on who and what we are; a story that tackles both the mysteries of tomorrow and the unsolved challenges of yesterday.
A portion of ticket sales will be donated to progressive organizations that do the necessary work of this moment in our history.
