Open Source Music Festival explores the groundbreaking phenomenon of open source through performances, new compositions, and collaboration. Founded by pianist and artistic director, Joel Fan, the event crosses boundaries of contemporary and electronic music while challenging ideas of festival organization. Performers at this daylong concert event include John Pickford Richards, Jay Campbell, Tigue; electronic luminaries Teengirl Fantasy; and composers include Augusta Read Thomas, Bernard Rands, Evan Ziporyn, Julia Wolfe, Michael Gordon.
