Elizabeth Boyle

Elizabeth Boyle was born in 1983, and grew up in a Navy family, never far from either side of the Atlantic Ocean. She makes art by concentrating on materials found, appropriated, lifted, crushed, animated, and re-assigned, and focuses on printmaking, animation, and drawing processes to lend life and history to images in the hopes that a problem might be solved, or an experience understood. She has studied at The Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia and at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and works out of her home studio in Brooklyn.
