Abrons Summer Camp 2021

To prevent the spread of Covid-19, this year’s 2021 summer camp will be running at a reduced size and capacity. Additionally, this 2021 summer camp will follow precautionary safety measures according to CDC guidelines to protect the safety of our campers and staff. Nurture your child’s creative spark this summer at Abrons Arts Center! Our camp offers arts learning experiences in visual arts, music, theater, and dance for ages 6 – 8. Campers will receive instruction in hip hop dance, devised theater, drawing and painting, and music. Camp will conclude with a performance and exhibition in the amphitheater.

Abrons provides a playful environment for artistic skill building from professional artist educators. Campers will also participate in park recreational time, and virtual field trips to other art and cultural institutions.

Abrons Arts Center Summer Camp 2021 will center around the theme of THE FOUR ELEMENTS: WATER, EARTH, FIRE AND AIR. Campers will explore this theme in their arts classes and camp groups.

Pick Up | 4:00 – 5:00pm

*Your child must be 6 years old by July 5th 2021.


  • Daily arts instruction in dance, music, theater, and visual arts
  • Professional artist teachers with educational backgrounds
  • Weekly virtual field trips to experience NYC museums, galleries, and theaters
  • Daily outdoor recreation time in Lower East Side parks 
  • Student performances/exhibitions at the end of Camp
  • Late afternoon includes snack and facilitated arts activities 


4 weeks: Monday-Thursday | July 5 – July 29, 2021 | $1,900
Camp Registration Fee: $50

Enrollment for camp closes June 15 at 11:59 PM ET. The full tuition payment is due no later than June 21st. No camper is permitted to attend camp without completion of payment by the above-mentioned date. There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee per camper, per session. No camper is allowed to attend camp until full payment and all health forms have been received.

CAMP ASSISTANCE is available to those who qualify on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of camp spots will be reserved for households with incomes less than $45,000 annually.

For camp assistance eligibility, each family is required to submit a federal income tax return or public assistance letter that reflects a registered camper as a dependent.

Camp assistance will be awarded according to the following criteria:

50% off household income of $45,000 or less annually
