Lunar New Year WorkshopJanuary 15 at 12 PM
Sarula Bao leads a workshop inspired by traditional Chinese paper cutting or ‘jian zhi.’ We will be collaborating on a large paper cut out of a tiger to bring in the new year.
To honor the coming Lunar New Year, Singha Hon will be leading a lunar calendar-making workshop. Participants will be provided with the materials to make and decorate their own one-page paper lunar year calendar and set their intentions and dreams for the coming new year.

In this hands-on workshop, multi-instrumentalist duendita shares how to use illustration and collage to create standout flyers for all kinds of events. Materials will be provided.
Garments as VesselsJanuary 19 at 5:30 PM
In this workshop led by Elisha Brockenberry, the designer behind Righteous Path 2002, learn how to prototype garments using unconventional materials. Participants will leave with a draft process built on resourcefulness, as well as their own garment. Materials will be provided. Presented as part of Open House.

Abrons Arts Center and Wing on Wo’s the W.O.W. Project come together to celebrate the Year of the Water Tiger with the second edition of From Chinatown, With Love, a Lunar New Year calendar featuring illustrations by Sarula Bao, Singha Hon, and Laura Lee.

Our studios are open! To best meet the needs of the artistic community during this challenging time, we offer studio rentals for rehearsals that cost as little as $10/hour.
As we have adapted to keep our community healthy, we have limited rentals to Studios 1, 2, 3, G05 and Music Rooms 206. Additionally, we ask that all prospective renters read through our new updated guidelines prior to requesting studio space.
