Beverly Acha was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She received a BA from Williams College in Studio Art and American Studies, with a concentration in Critical and Cultural Theory (2009), and an MFA from Yale University in Painting and Printmaking (2012). She is the recipient of a Salem Art Works Fellowship (2014), Robert Schoelkopf Memorial Travel Grant (2011), Frederick M. Peyser Prize in Painting (2009), Berkshire Art Association Fellowship (2008 and 2009), and a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (2007). In 2010, she was an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Cambridge, Pittsfield, and Seoul, Korea. Beverly currently lives and works in New York City.
