DANCE ENSEMBLE
The Abrons Arts Center Dance Ensemble (AACDE) is a company for advanced students who display a career interest in the dance field. Students become members of the AACDE by audition and must be registered in the Dance Training Program.
Ages 13-19 | Fridays | 5-7 pm
There is no fee to participate.

Music

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS
Lessons are available in piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, percussion, and guitar.
15-week session, once a week:
30-minute lesson: $500
45-minute lesson: $750
60-minute lesson: $950

GROUP GUITAR
Ages: 13-18 | Saturdays | 11 am-Noon

Theater

BROADWAY LAB
Integrated training in singing, acting, and dancing. Students learn and rehearse the staging of popular Broadway musicals.

SCENE STUDY
Students explore scene study and characterization, working with selections from classic and contemporary plays.
Ages: 13-19 | Saturdays | 1:30-3 pm

URBAN YOUTH THEATER
The Urban Youth Theater (UYT) is the Abrons Arts Center's resident acting company for teenagers. Each year the company performs an exciting season of new plays and classics under the direction of professional directors and designers. Rehearsals and special workshops take place during Production Labs.
Ages: 13-19 | Saturdays | 3-5 pm
There is no fee to participate.

Visual Art

SATURDAY VISUAL ARTS ACADEMY
An intensive program for students in grades 6-12 who are committed to developing art skills and creating portfolios for application to specialized art high schools. In addition to learning a variety of media, students are also introduced to art history, museums, and lessons with professional artists. It is recommended that students enroll for both fall and spring sessions.
