Abrons’ students are invited to participate in group sharings that showcase artistic progress and provide a space for creative reflection. All student events are free and open to the public.

REGISTRATION POLICIES + TUITION ASSISTANCE

Individual students taking more than one group class will receive a discount on additional classes taken during the same term.
Register for two group classes and save $50.
Register for three group classes and save $70.
Register for four group classes and save $90.
Tuition assistance is available each session for registered students who would otherwise not be able to afford classes. Applications are available through the Registration Office and due by the second class. The registrant’s most recent federal income tax return is required along with the application.
The Center provides a payment plan option for students unable to pay the tuition in its entirety at the time of enrollment. In addition to the $20 registration fee, 50% of the total tuition is due at time of registration. The balance will be due by March 25, 2016.
There is a non-refundable $20 registration fee. This fee is charged per student per term unless the student has enrolled for a full year program.
Students may audit a group class before registering. Students may not attend a second class within the session unless they have registered. An auditing fee of $20-30 will be charged prior to auditing and a registration form must be filled out. The fee will be applied toward class tuition. The audit fee is not refundable.
MAKE UP CLASSES
Classes will be rescheduled if a class is cancelled or when a suitable substitute instructor cannot be found.
The Center will not provide refunds or credits for missed classes as a result of student illness, student emergencies, or for any unforeseeable circumstance beyond the Center’s control.
LATE PAYMENT FEES
All tuition payments must be made as scheduled. Unpaid balances will be charged a $30 late fee for the term.
DROPS + REFUNDS
All drops must be requested in writing using the Drop Request Form and must be submitted to the Registration Office in person. There are no refunds or credits if the Drop Request form is received after the student’s third scheduled class. All refunds will be paid with a check issued by Henry Street Settlement. The check will be issued in the name of the registrant and mailed to the address provided on the registration form. Please allow up to six weeks for receipt of the refund.
Before the start of classes:
Full payment (minus the registration fee) will be refunded when the Registration Office receives a completed Drop Request form by February 1, 2016.
After classes have begun:
A pro-rated refund will be processed when the Registration Office receives a completed Drop Request form after February 13, 2016.
Unless the Center is given written notice, registrants, upon registration, give consent for the Center to take photos, audio, or video footage of classes, lessons, and/or concerts without advance notice, and to publish such photos, audio, and video footage royalty-free in our print, audio, and electronic promotional efforts, including our website.
